Planning a Dog Birthday Party

If you are planning a dog birthday party, keep these tips in mind:

1.       Make sure that all of the dogs get along.  Breaking up dogfights is not a good way to celebrate an occasion.  Likewise do not invite dogs that are overly possessive of their toys and treats.

2.      Make sure that all food is out of the reach of hungry dogs.  There is nothing worse than discovering that one of the dogs has helped himself to the entire cold cut and cheese platter.

3.      Make sure that each dog gets a party favor.  This helps eliminate fights over toys and treats.

4.      Have pooper scoopers readily available.  This is self-explanatory.

5.      Label food as either people or doggie.  Since some of the human treats will be dog theme, it might be easy for guests to mix them up (Remember the candy?).

6.      Keep your camera handy and take lots of photos.  This is an event that you will want to remember.

7.      Have Fun.  Most people throwing a dog birthday party worry so much about everything going right that they forget to enjoy themselves.
