Travel With Your Dog

It’s almost the one year anniversary of my beloved Robin’s passing.

Like all my dogs, Robin loved travelling and seeing new places. But I think Robin was the best travelling dog I ever had as she was so easy going, so easily accepted, and so automatically loved.

In honor of Robin I am offering my book How To Travel With Your Dog to my blog readers for a very special price.

Why? From years of experience I know your dog hates being left behind. Dogs who love their owners feel abandoned when left in a kennel and even pet resorts.

By reading How To Travel With Your Dog, you will find that travelling your dog is easier than you think once you uncover the secrets I’ve learned through my travels with 3+ dogs at a time.

Health & Happiness to You and Your Dog,

Margaret Keller

Spoiling Your Dog - A Growing Trend

Spoiling Your Dog is a continuing trend in the United States. Pet owners in this country were estimated to spend $35.9 billion on their pets in 2005, up from $17 billion a decade ago, according to the American Pet Product Manufacturers Association Inc.

The APPMA’s chief operating officer and managing director, Bob Vetere, said the increase is at least partly due to baby boomers experiencing the empty-nest syndrome and lavishing their affection and disposable income on their pets, and young professionals who are delaying having families and are instead spending money on their animal companions.

More and more companies traditionally know for human products are going to the dogs. Big name companies including like Lands’ End, Burberry, Cartier, Sharper Image, Gucci, Paul Mitchell, Omaha Steaks, Origins, Old Navy and even Harley Davidson are now offering lines of pet products ranging from dog shampoo, pet attire, and name-brand toys to gourmet treats and food.

It’s a great time to be a dog!

Brand New Way To Spoil Your Dog

I just read this. It isn’t out yet, but it may be one of our favorite Spoil Your Dog Picks:

Dan Costa is out this morning taking his Pomeranian, Bebe, to the vet. I don’t know if Bebe gets scared every time she visits the Vet, but I’m sure she’d love a few treats when it’s all over. But, not just any ordinary treats. How about flying dog treats?

Dogmatic Products has created the SnackShotz Treat Launcher to enhance your dog’s play time (and stamina, I’m sure). SnackShotz can launch Discos treats up to 12 feet away. The treats come in three delectable flavors: Beef, Chicken, and MightyMint. According to the product’s web site, Discos treats are 100% edible and digestible (which calmed my worries), and they’re the only treats that work with the SnackShotz Treat Launcher.

And if you want to spoil your dog even more, there’s also Woofy Pop (microwave popcorn for dogs) and Nachews (nacho-shaped chips for dogs).

The SnackShotz Treat Launcher isn’t out yet, but keep checking www.dogmaticproducts.com.
